Easy to Use

In order to successfully complete a sign inventory project, it is critical to quickly and accurately have your signs inventoried, inspected and entered into your system. Pre-designed dictionary lists are already populated with sign codes, sheeting types, support types, common sign sizes and blank materials saving you valuable time. Defaults, such as size, can be set-up for each sign code so each time you install a sign, many fields are filled in for you.

Retroreflectivity

With the new FHWA minimum retroreflectivity standards, SignMaster™ 6.1 is an essentail tool. Store multiple retroreflectivity readings of your signs and the date each reading was taken. SignMaster™ also calculates the Contrast Ratio for you - which is necessary for stop signs. With the new reporting window, you can set filters to show every reading taken on a particular sign, all signs below Federal minimums and more!

Work Orders

SignMaster™ is designed with a work order maintenance system built right in - not an add-on that you need to purchase separately. With the flexibility of SignMaster's work maintenance system, you can create work items, assign them to a work order for batch printing, or print them out individually. You can also create and complete work items after the actual work is finished. To log work for an installed sign, simply write down the sign number and what you did.

Once the work is complete for a sign, fill in the completion data and time and SignMaster's Work Order Wizard will guide you through the installation or replacement of the sign - automatically removing the old sign from the route inventory and replacing it with the new sign. SignMaster even asks you what you did with the old sign - trashed it, put it back in the warehouse for reuse, etc.

For other maintenance work, fill in the completion data and time and you're done. All work is filed away in history for easy recall any time you may need it..

Export to GIS Systems

With transportation professionals increasingly relying on geographic information systems (GIS), you may need the ability to display your sign information in a GIS system. SignMaster uses .DBF (Database Files) to store information. These data files are natively compatible with leading GIS software systems available today. SignMaster is ready with a built-in export routine that builds a single .DBF table (out of the many tables that it uses) which is easily imported into most popular GIS software. Since GIS systems do not handle maintenance and history recording, use SignMaster for daily maintenance and then export the latest information when needed by your GIS department.

For those who want to see their sign inventory in a different format, SignMaster™ 6.1 can export your inventory to a .XLS spreadsheet.

Sign Inspections

Our new Sign Inspection Wizard makes adding sign inspections a snap! After you have inspected the signs on a road, simply select that road, fill in the date, time and who performed the inspection, click OK and the Wizard does the rest. An inspection record will be created for each sign on that road. You can also batch select roads and create inspection records for multiple roads at once.

Keep Your Warehouse Sign Inventory Organized

Now you can keep an inventory of your signs in the warehouse. Along with normal sign information, you can record manufacturer, cost, date of fabrication, etc. Set a minimum amount of signs you want to keep in stock for each sign code and the 'Low Inventory Report' lets you know what signs you need to order. Inventory reports can also help you with your GASB-34 reporting requirements.
